Shelves are definitely one of the most important items of equipment in a refrigerated cabinet. It is advisable to choose the shelves that best suit the type of goods to be stored and thus enhance the functionality of the device. In the following article, we have prepared an overview of all the shelves for refrigerated cabinets in our offer.
Each RAPA refrigerated cabinet comes with a set of shelves with supports. In the case of single cabinets (widths: 62.5, 72.5 and 82.5 cm) you get a set of 5 shelves. Double cabinets, i.e. those 120, 140 and 160 cm wide, are equipped with a set of 10 shelves. Which ones? The basic set of shelves that we equip a cabinet with will vary depending on the model. For most models, you will receive standard plasticised ribbed shelves (protected by fluidised white paint). In the case of the WH/BP cabinet, you will be supplied with dense plasticised ribbed shelves in white, and in the SR/WH/BP model, you will be supplied with solid painted shelves.
As accessories, we also offer: standard acid-resistant ribbed shelves, dense acid-resistant ribbed shelves and full stainless and acid-resistant shelves.
Key differences between the shelves
In addition to the dimensions, the different types of shelves differ, among other things, in the material they are made of (plasticised steel, stainless steel, acid-resistant steel), as well as in the form (ribbed or solid) and the density of the ribbing (standard, dense). This is represented as follows:

RAPA cabinets are equipped with supports that allow you to adjust the spacing of the shelves every 7.5 cm. This way you can adapt the interior to the height of the products you store.
How do you choose shelves for cabinets?
When choosing shelves for a refrigerated cabinet, the main considerations should be the type of product that will be placed on them, the location of the cabinet and who will be using it. Above all, adapt your choice to the type of products on offer. If the packages are small, placing them on standard ribbed shelves may cause problems. In this case, it is better to opt for dense-ribbed or solid shelves, on which it is much more convenient to place, for example, small yoghurt cups or small beverage bottles. This type of shelf is particularly suitable for glazed cabinets in self-service shops, where customers take products out themselves. They prevent the hassle of a constantly tipping assortment, which can be damaged as a result. For particularly demanding customers and goods, we have developed shelves made of acid-resistant steel, which is a particularly durable and easy-to-clean material.
How to order shelves?
As mentioned at the beginning of the article, each cabinet comes with a basic set of shelves for the model. Depending on the size of the device, you get a set of 5 or 10 shelves. Their price is included in the purchase cost of the cabinet. Therefore, if you wish to exchange them for another type of shelves available in our offer, please remember to inform the Customer Service at the time of ordering. You can also order the shelves separately, but their price will be different. We encourage you to check the current price list. .
