Glazed upright refrigerated cabinets are an excellent compromise between an attractive display and practical, capacious storage space. They are aimed mainly at shops - both large-format markets and smaller neighbourhood shops. They can also be used at petrol stations, cafés and restaurants. They can be used to store dairy products, cold cuts, drinks, desserts or delicatessen products. Their great advantage is that they can store a lot of products without taking up a lot of space, and everything is perfectly visible. Find out what models of glass cabinets we have to offer at RAPA!
Types of glazing and upright refrigerated cabinets
RAPA upright glazed refrigerated cabinets can be divided into single- and double-glazed models, with top (AG) or bottom unit (AD), single-sided (S) or double-glazed (2S).
Single-glazed cabinets are designed to be placed against a wall. They can be used for self-service sales, as well as being placed in an area where customers do not have access, deep behind the checkout counter or bar. In catering businesses, they can also be used as storage cabinets. Transparent doors allow you to easily locate the goods you need without having to open the unit and then quickly remove them, helping to reduce your electricity bill.
Double-glazed cabinets can be positioned in areas where an attractive display of the product range is important, but the goods are served by the salesperson. The glazing on the customer side can be either fixed, or in the form of hinged or sliding doors with a lock. On the service side, on the other hand, there are convenient hinged or sliding doors, which can also be fitted with a practical lock if required. These cabinet models are ideal for smaller shops, cafés, patisseries or snack bars.
All of the glass used in our units is toughened on both sides, double-glazed and low-emission. In models with hinged doors, it is possible to reposition the doors.
Unit types, standard and optional accessories
As standard, both single- and double-glazed cabinets are equipped with an internal aggregate, either top or bottom. We also offer versions without a unit as an optional extra. .
Most models use gravitational cooling, with the exception of the SR/WH cabinet, in which we use dynamic cooling. All glazed cabinets use the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-290. Depending on your needs, you can choose a device in climate class 3 or 4 (some models are available in both classes). All models are equipped with an electronic temperature controller, and some are also equipped with an automatic condensation evaporation system.
Standard equipment for Ecoline models includes painting the cabinets in any colour chosen from the RAPA colour chart. For other models, this option is available additionally.
All cabinets are equipped with adjustable steel legs, which can be replaced for an additional charge with stainless steel legs or a set of rotary wheels with a brake in single-chamber cabinets and wheels with an adjustable foot in double-chamber cabinets.
Single-compartment cabinets are equipped with a set of 5 and double-compartment cabinets with a set of 10 plasticised shelves. As an additional option, we offer plasticised dense shelves or standard and dense shelves made of acid-resistant steel. You can also order a special stainless steel cover plate for the standard shelf.
The cabinets are available in many widths, so it is easy to adapt the model to your needs.
