The Europa Cup 2022 Florist Championship have gone down in history. To say that it was an extraordinary event is like saying nothing at all. The three days in the spacious interiors of the International Congress Centre in Katowice were a real feast for florists and all flower lovers. A great accumulation of talent, imagination and passion. We are so happy to have been able to participate in such a fantastic event and to have funded the award for the Winner!
The highlight of the Europa Cup was, of course, the competition. Sixteen participants - titled florists from Europe and Asia - competed. During two days, the contestants tackled five competition tasks, and six of them, selected by the jury, also tackled a sixth final surprise task, which was performed on stage during the Final Gala.
The theme of this year's Championship was music, and each task was accompanied by a musical inspiration. All participants showed great skill in flower arranging, but there could only be one winner! The Championship title and the award of a RAPA flower refrigerator went to Netherlands representative Hanneke Frankema. Second place went to Gábor Nagy from Hungary, and third place to Michael Liebrich representing Germany. Each of the winners embodies a completely different style, but all the works were phenomenal!
In addition to the main event, the organisers prepared a number of special attractions: lectures, exhibitions and floral demonstrations, including the fantastic Time Transition in Floristry main show by master florist Klaus Wagener.
We are delighted that the RAPA stand was so popular. We told florists and florist owners from various parts of Europe and the world about the advantages of RAPA's 'flower fridges', and it was a great pleasure to hear many positive comments from customers who are already using our devices.
We also hosted the winner of the Championships, Hanneke Frankema, who was delighted with the prize she received from us - an SCh-AKM flower refrigerator.
Whole event was a great experience and we are already looking forward to the next Championship!
